Server-side verification of a payment link's current status. status is derived at read time: an active link past its expiresAt is reported as expired even before the background expiry job persists that transition.

Intentionally credential-free: this is fetched directly by the buyer's browser on the hosted checkout page, which has no merchant API key available client-side. Keyed only by an unguessable UUID — see src/paymentLinks/get.ts and docs/security-checklist.md § Known open gaps for the accepted UUID-guessing exposure this implies.
